Did anyone really expect us to win the home leg? Times were tough, and I would have settled for still being in the tie come the second leg - if we`d have been going there tonight at 0 - 0 I wouldn`t have been too down. Now, however, we have a 2 goal lead! We have to get beat 3 - 0 to go out in normal time (or by more of course. We coul get beat by 5 or 6. Hang on, this is positive...)
All the worry is just the fear of failure. Fear of blowing it having been in a good position to go through. It`s the English disease. Well, fear not men. We have record breaking Reina in goal, fronted by Centurion Carragher, plus Gerrard, Mascherano and a young lad - you may have heard of him - goes by the name of Fernando Torres. No, bretheren, tonight is not the time for us to crumble and fall. Tonight is the time for us to stand shoulder to shoulder and take on Italy`s finest in their own backyard. Tonight is the time for us to put our off the field problems behind us, and march on to victory. Tonight, my friends, is when Liverpool FC show the world what we are made of. Tonight, we say "No, we don`t think wearing aaron sweaters over our shoulders is cool. No, we won`t idly lean on a moped and watch the world go by like we haven`t got a fucking care in the world. No, grazie, we don`t want a coffee in some kind of mini cup for little people. We are Liverpool, and we`ll have a lager, ta.
